Staff members in Student Affairs and Enrollment Management recognized for commitment to student success

The Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management (DOSAEM) hosted its inaugural Staff Recognition Awards ceremony on June 28. Awards were presented to the following staff members in recognition of their dedication and exceptional work across the division. Additionally, two awards were presented to community members and campus partners, to recognize their collaboration and role in promoting the work of the division and contributing to staff and student success.
Awardees were nominated by division staff members, and awards were presented by Vice President Kent Willis. Willis said, “We’re grateful for all of our team members and campus partners who make student success a top priority at Fresno State. Staff professional development and recognition are important aspects of our work.”
“As a division we are committed to the advancement of student success and raising the profile of Fresno State, and that is only possible through collaboration and recognition of excellence.”
Campus Partner of the Year Award
Dr. Bryan Berrett and the Office of Innovation and Digital Excellence for Academic Success
This award recognizes a faculty member whose commitment to student success and collaboration with DOSAEM helps improve the impact of services and programs outside the traditional academic environment.
Commitment to Inclusive Excellence Award
Diana Karageozian
Lead Clinical Case Manager and Program Director for Basic Needs
This award recognizes an individual or a group of individuals within DOSAEM who have demonstrated a commitment to diversity and inclusion in consideration of affordability, ability, identity, and access.
Community Partner of the Year Award
Lupita Lomeli
Univision
This award recognizes an individual or organization whose collaboration with DOSAEM leads to student success and improves the ability of DOSAEM staff to meet student needs.
DOSAEM Program/Project of the Year Award
Academic Success Coaching
This award recognizes a program or project with a significant positive impact on the division or university by a team in the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management including scholarly contributions, conference presentations, committee work, and other collaborations.
Emerging Leader Award
Anna Morales
Services for Students with Disabilities
This award recognizes a DOSAEM Student Affairs staff member who has at least 3 years of professional experience, not all of which must be in the division. This staff member, regardless of position or title, exceeds the responsibilities of their position in a manner that demonstrates a commitment to student success.
Emerging Leader Award

Food Security Project
This award recognizes a DOSAEM Student Affairs staff member who has at least 3 years of professional experience, not all of which must be in the division. This staff member, regardless of position or title, exceeds the responsibilities of their position in a manner that demonstrates a commitment to student success.
Graduate Student Assistant of the Year Award
Angelica Quintero
Central Valley College Corps
This award recognizes a DOSAEM Student Affairs graduate assistant who has consistently exceeded the responsibilities of their position in a manner that promotes the success, mission, and goals of the Division.
Innovation Award
Stephanie Annett
Student Health and Counseling Center
This award recognizes an individual or group of individuals that utilized a creative approach to advance the work of DOSAEM. Nominees for this award have shown initiative to innovate and create solutions that address a gap or need within their department or the Division.
Mentor of the Year Award
Martina Granados
Senior Director of Outreach and Special Programs
This award recognizes an individual who contributes to the professional development and growth of others.
New Professional Award
Jose Mundo
College Assistance Migrant Program
This award recognizes a DOSAEM staff member with 1 to 3 years total professional experience who has consistently exceeded the responsibilities of their position in a way that enhances the success, mission, and goals of the Division.
Vice President’s Award for Excellence in Student Affairs
Tanis Matlock-Elder
Assistant Dean of Students
This award is one of the top recognitions by the VPSAEM to illuminate colleagues in DOSAEM who embody all characteristics of excellence in student affairs administration.
Vice President’s Award for Excellence in Enrollment Management
Kimberly Self
Associate Director of Admissions and Recruitment
This award is the top recognition to illuminate excellence in enrollment management.
Vice President’s Award for Excellence in Community Engagement
Josie Rangel
Student Health and Counseling Center
This award is the top recognition for a DOSAEM team member whose work with community and non-profit organizations helps advance student success and raises the profile of Fresno State.
