Michael, thank you for all your help during Welcome Weeks! I appreciate you and your team for helping me install sound equipment for Fresno State Night at Campus Pointe and Traditions Day. I am also grateful for all your support in ensuring LFSA had a successful event at the SSU for La Bienvenida! Your guidance and diligence helped us secure a venue with proper technology for our performers and speakers, and an excellent layout to host about 500 attendees. Rock on man!

MARTINA GRANADOS, Outreach and Special Programs:
On behalf of the Fresno State Latina/o Faculty and Staff Association, we wholeheartedly congratulate Martina Granados, Senior Director of Outreach and Special Programs, and her team for leading and planning La Féria de Educación annual conference at Fresno State. La Feria de Educación aims to empower thousands of Spanish-speaking parents, students, and their families by providing information and resources to help them succeed in California’s educational system. This year, thousands of families and students participated in La Feria, including guest of honor Leo González. Recently, Leo attended the White House in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month and acknowledged La Feria de Educación.

Provided exceptional service and wrote a student query, within a short period of time, that saved us hours of research relating to our federal audit documentation for the Veterans Resource Center. Isela has been a wonderful resource for us in the past and she truly did Save Our Bacon!!!

Kim Self, Interim Director of Admissions and Recruitment, is an exceptional individual who consistently exceeds expectations. As a one-woman team, she effectively manages her responsibilities and consistently delivers outstanding results. Kim’s remarkable patience and determination enable her to successfully complete tasks and achieve goals.

Belen has gone out of her way to establish a new avenue to allow for connection with other disability service professionals across the CSU system. I am excited to see this project come to fruition, and am proud to work with someone who can put plans into action! Great work, Belen!

ADMISSIONS AND RECRUITMENT:
During our federal audit, the Admissions/Recruitment staff: Maribel Olea, Kimberly Self and Phong Yang assisted us with our request for additional information pertaining to our federal audit without delay and made our process of developing student files in preparation. We are greatly appreciate the collaboration and teamwork with this department.
COLLEGE ASSISTANCE AND MIGRANT PROGRAM (CAMP):
Huge thanks to the CAMP program for their support with the 2023 Advising Day. We could not have been able to do it without your support. You are all truly a model of what community is all about.
FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS:
The Veterans Resource Center called upon Kelly Russell, Director of Financial Aid/Scholarships for assistance during our two-day federal audit. Kelly and her team; Koua Vang and Erin Connor immediately responded to our request for supporting documentation requested by our federal auditor on a moments notice. It’s refreshing to collaborate with our Teams at Fresno State in a Welcoming manner and always willing to assist when asked. Thank you!
