Admissions and Recruitment:
Thank you to the office of Recruitment (Admissions and Recruitment) for allowing our department of Outreach and Special Programs to borrow the golf cart to support our Feria de Educación 2024 event. Our team appreciated it! Thank you!
MARTIN ALVARADO, Admissions and Recruitment:
Martin Alvarado does an excellent job with coordinating the events within our department. Thank you, Martin, for organizing and coordinating such big events for our high school counselors, students, and community members. They are very efficient events that run smoothly for us all.
JULIETTE AMARO, Services for Students with Disabilities:
Juliette is new within our department and has been doing an amazing job at learning her new role and communicating beautifully with students and staff. She has been providing excellent service and her care and attention has been noticed and appreciated! Great job, Juliette!
AMANDA ANDALON, Services for Students with Disabilities:
Amanda is not only a great colleague, but she continues to keep our office running smoothly. She consistently goes above and beyond in her duties, always ensuring that every task is completed with the utmost efficiency and care. Her dedication and hard work not only enhance our productivity but also create a positive and supportive work environment. Amanda ability to anticipate needs and address them proactively is truly commendable. Her presence in the office is invaluable, and her efforts do not go unnoticed.
RICARDO ANDRADE, Outreach and Special Programs:
Ricardo’s support, commitment and leadership was instrumental in executing a successful Feria de Educacion. He helped in various areas with the planning and provided not only his expertise and input, but also conducted a last-minute interview when I was unavailable. Thank you, Ricardo, for your willingness to support me, assisting others and making sure we delivered an excellent event to students, families and community.
MICHAEL BALLIN, Amendola Family Student Cupboard:
Michael is truly a fantastic colleague. He has continued to collaborate with us every year, and when we ask him something, he genuinely tries to make it work. Michael, thank you for being a great person and being tremendously considerate. It has been an honor to work with you.
College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP):
Thank you to the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) staff and volunteers for assisting us at our Feria de Educación 2024 event. A special thank you to the office for allowing us to borrow your golf cart. Thank you!
DR. SIERRA ESTRADA, Financial Aid:

STEPHANIE FOSTER, Services for Students with Disabilities:
In the short time I have been with Services for Students with Disabilities(SSD), I just wanted to take a moment to let Stephanie know how much I appreciate everything she does for our students, the SSD office, and the SSD staff. Thank you for always sharing opportunities for growth in the world of disabilities including workshops and webinars, and for always staying current in the field of disabilities. Your knowledge is invaluable! Your exceptional leadership, dedication, care, and guidance don’t go unnoticed, and they make a significant difference. Thank you for your support and for saving my bacon with my calendar holds!
SHEILA GALLAHER-PRICE, Career Development Center:
Thank you for providing us with Student assistants training and emphasizing the mentoring capacity that we serve in. We appreciate your investment in our team.
JUANA GONZALEZ, Outreach and Special Programs:
Juana was extreme helpful, detailed, diligent and went above and beyond to make sure we would have a successful event (Feria de Educación). She not only managed and took care of her daily office responsibilities, but also offered support to various committee members. She is very knowledgeable and a joy to work with. I appreciate her cheerful personality and always making sure our office runs smooth.
MARISA MATA, Office of the Vice President/Dean of Students:
Marisa is amazing! She goes above and beyond for our new department and always provides excellent insight to keep us connected and have an internet presence. Even when feeling unwell, she communicated with us and checked on us. She is truly a phenomenal person.
DANIELLE MENDOZA, Student Health and Counseling Center:
Danielle put her heart and soul into leading the planning of our Fall Mental Health Screening Day event. This event can truly be life saving for so many of our students. We are so appreciative of Danielle’s dedication to awareness and education around mental health and proud of her incredible success with this event! She is truly making a difference at Fresno State.
ALICIA NELSON, Student Health and Counseling Center:
Alicia is recognized as a strong, hands-on leader who actively supports her team by clarifying each person’s role and responsibilities. She’s known for her dedication to ensuring everyone feels confident and prepared, taking extra steps to address questions and uncertainties that may arise. This approach fosters a collaborative and supportive work environment where team members feel both guided and empowered in their roles.
Outreach and Special Programs:
Thank you for your continued collaboration with Super Saturday. We appreciate the expertise, wisdom, labor, and dedication you all provide to Super Saturday. I appreciate your commitment to outreach and exposure. Martina, Ricardo, Juana, and all the ambassadors were essential to Super Saturday.
ESTEVAN PARRA GUERRERO, Upward Bound:
I’d like to thank Estevan for assisting our department of Outreach and Special Programs making himself available to assist us with picking up our Programs and print jobs for our event Feria de Educación as I was not available to pick them up. Estevan, I’m very grateful! You went above and beyond assisting our team and it did not go unnoticed.
LETY SAAVEDRA, University Registrar:
Lety has embraced the challenging yet rewarding task of mastering digital document accessibility. She has dedicated significant time and effort to learning this skill set from me, aiming to help her department meet accessibility standards and provide inclusive materials for everyone. Despite the difficulties, Lety’s perseverance and determination have been unwavering. I am proud of Lety and her steadfast commitment to document accessibility.
SEVEN TOWNSEL, Black Student Success Initiative:
Seven, thank you for coming when you did. You have been here for three weeks, counting, and planning one of our largest events. Thank you for bringing your programming expertise and being an extra set of hands, eyes, ears, and logic. This event would not be as refined without you. BSSI appreciates you!
ETISHA WILBON, Student Health and Counseling Center:
Etisha was pivotal in ensuring our guests were checked in and that they had all the necessary forms to immerse themselves in the experience. Thank Etisha, for donating your time to give back to the community. We appreciate the level of detail you brought to the table.
CURTIS WITHERSPOON, Black Student Success Initiative:
Curtis, thank you for all the work you put into Super Saturday. I know you were up to your ears in paperwork but thank you for stepping in where needed and being willing to stretch yourself in different capacities. Thank you for joining the team and supporting the students.
