Celebrating Josie Rangel’s Retirement — 37 Years of Heartfelt Service

After 37 fun-filled years of dedication, compassion and care, Josie Rangel is retiring from the Student Health and Counseling Center’s Counseling and Psychological Services department.
Josie has been more than just a colleague; she’s been a constant source of warmth, encouragement and calm for students and staff alike. Over nearly four decades, she’s touched countless lives with her deep empathy, infectious positivity, and quiet strength. Whether offering support to a student in crisis or lifting a coworker’s spirits with a smile and a laugh, Josie led with heart in everything she did.
We’ll miss her presence dearly, her thoughtful conversations, her warm energy and the way she always seemed to know just what someone needed. But we are thrilled for her as she steps into this next chapter—one we know will be just as sweet and fulfilling as the legacy she leaves behind.
Thank you, Josie, for 37 unforgettable years.
