Faculty and staff spotlight: Brittney Randolph

Brittney Randolph is the Program Director of Programs for Children, Inc. at Fresno State. In this role, Brittney manages three early education centers providing early education services for children three months to five years old. She is also a co-facilitator for Sistah to Sistah, which creates a safe place for women of color on campus. Brittney was a member of this group when she was a student at Fresno State.
Brittney graduated from Fresno State with a bachelor’s degree in child development in 2010 and a master’s in education with an option in early childhood education in 2014.
As an advocate for student parents, she was part of a team that helped launch the first CSU diaper bank at Fresno State in 2019. Brittney believes that health, emotional well-being, and life successes can all be traced back to their early childhood.
A wife and a mother of two, Brittney welcomes any opportunity to benefit students and the Fresno State community. She successfully applied for and received $1.5 million in grants from the Child Care Access Means Parents In School (CCAMPIS) program to support student parents on our campus. She also diligently collaborated with Fresno State faculty members to implement programs promoting young children’s development and parent education, such as the music program, the social-emotional program, parent workshops (e.g., Project Hope, potty training), and resource fairs.
As the program director, Brittney is especially committed to promoting diversity and anti-bias curriculum and Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) education in early childhood settings.
A few of her favorite quotes are:
If a flower doesn’t bloom, we change the environment in which it grows, not the flower.
If I can help one person, then my living will not be in vain.
